About

I’m Genevieve (or “G”)

After graduating from UW-Madison in the winter 2016, I moved cross country to Portland, OR. Based primarily on a gut feeling and the need to decide on a career path, I hoped the change of scenery would give me the space to hone my senses and skills to find a lifelong passion.

$300 to my name and two suitcases of clothes, I arrived to PDX New Years Day of 2017. As someone from a low-income background, I was used to working two or three jobs at a time; so I got a job as a manager of a paleo restaurant, a project coordinator at a booking company, and a freelance graphic designer. After a year and a half of this, one of my bosses put me in connection with the manager of a small, neighborhood digital print shop, and there launched my career in all things print and branding.

No longer working multiple jobs (though I still choose to freelance occasionally), I’ve gained time to pursue an array of hobbies including drawing, painting, hiking, cycling (1600 miles this past year!), bike polo, trying to surf, and binging podcasts.
